Theia the planet which created our moon

Theia the planet which created our moon. Theia is the unofficial name of a hypothetical protoplanet, which is, according to the collision theory of lunar formation collided about 4.5 billion years ago with the proto-Earth. Theia itself was destroyed in the collision, the impact the resulting fragments have been collected in an orbit around the Earth. In the course has been formed from the moon. According to this theory, Theia was about as big as Mars, and has one of the models for the Trojans as the Earth-Sun Lagrange point L4 system formed before it collided with Earth. From a comparison of the isotopes in the Earth and moon rocks could be derived that derives the bulk of the material from which the moon was formed, the mantle of the proto-Earth. The material apparently Theias caused no change in the isotopic composition of the proto-Earth. This fact points to the origin of the protoplanets: Theia was apparently at the same distance from the Sun as the proto-Earth. Due to the large sun near the protoplanet sat largely composed of silicates.
The theory, according to the Lagrange point L4 Theia in the Earth-Sun system is created, speaks to this possibility. Recent simulations that involve the chaotic effects of motion in the vicinity of Lagrange, show that a body that is formed in L4, can actually achieve the necessary speed to create the moon.
