Climate change - one of the most popular topics, like for serious discussion, and for speculation. Are we waiting for global warming or global cooling? Do I need to prepare for droughts and floods? Who's to blame for this disgrace - a man, or "it itself"?
The very notion of climate change in recent years much has changed in form. If the traditionally understood by climate statistics over a period of time, describing temperature, precipitation and wind (ie - weather), now being used more widely the concept of "climate system", which is described by a generalized state of the atmosphere, hydrosphere, cryosphere (eg glaciers ) and the biosphere.
The climate is influenced by many factors, such as constant (latitude), and changing, either spontaneously (solar activity), or under the influence of human civilization (emissions of various gases, including CO2)
Archaeological and paleontological studies suggest that the Earth's climate has changed in cycles long before human civilization. Era gave way to arid (dry and hot, are observed in the interglacial period), and pluvial, wet, coinciding with glaciation. Sea level has changed, shifted climatic zones. In the early 20th century was developed by Milankovitch astronomical theory that explains the cyclical climatic change in the periodicity in the changes in the Earth's motion relative to the sun. But the effect on climate change is not a factor, as a superposition of different events - the astronomical, geological, and biological. Global climate change will occur when the Earth's average temperature by only 2-4 degrees and the trigger for the start of a long period of warming or cooling can be any "last straw".
