John Ball: Do the aliens not want to contact us?

The radio astronomer John surprised Ball 1973, the professional world with a "zoo hypothesis": Highly advanced aliens are not as talkative as people were to assume, they considered the solar system rather than a kind of nature park where we could live in peace, much like seals in the Wadden Sea National Park. "Perhaps we are for them only a minor entry in a table of the inhabited galactic regions," said Ball

The British astrophysicist and science writer Martyn Fogg has pushed this idea in 1986 to the peak ET might have deliberately enacted a ban on contact with us. "Observer could have chosen, planetary systems, they are studying not colonize, so that life can  develop undisturbed native to space faring civilizations," said Fogg.
