 Robert Orel Dean (born in March 1929) is a ufologist U.S. .
It was in the military ' U.S. Army and was discharged after 28-year career with the rank of major . After his discharge he settled in Tucson in Arizona and is dedicated to ' ufology . He has participated in numerous radio and television programs about UFOs and has lectured extensively in the USA with particular reference to issues of UFO conspiracy theory .
Dean considers himself a professional researcher on UFOs and says that in the period in which the army had had a special authorization to access secret documents. While doing service to Brussels at the headquarters of NATO , would read a secret document entitled The Assessment , which would analyze the potential threats posed by the alleged activities by extraterrestrials on Earth . This study was prepared in a wave of UFO sightings occurred in Europe in 1961 .
In 1992 while working as a coordinator of emergency services of the County of Pima County in Arizona, Dean sued his employer for discrimination, claiming that he was treated unfairly because of his belief in UFOs. He obtained a jury award of $ 16,000.
