A very mysterious spaceship of the USA military has returned after a marathon flight in space on the ground. After more than 15 months is the Orbiter,with the code-name X-37B (OTV-2) now landed on the Spaceport Vandenberg in CA, said the U.S. Air Force via the Internet.
The unmanned "space plane" was launched on 5th March 2011 with an unknown destination and baggage with Atlas V rocket from Florida. It was launched directly into space to discover and make contact with alien life.
This was according to official figures for the second test. With 469 days, he took more than two times as long as the maiden flight of a sister ship (OTV-1), on 3rd of December 2010 after 224 days had ended .
