Prof Simon Morris of Cambridge University: The United Nations should set up a parent coordinator for "unearthly affairs." An "alien ambassador" there are already at the United Nations: the Malaysian astrophysicist MazlanOthman (58) is the head of the space agency of the United Nations (OOSA) in Vienna. The office is responsible for promoting international cooperation in the peaceful uses of outer space. The aim is to promote economic and social development, particularly in favor of poorer countries.
The UNOOSA is located since 1993 in Vienna. The Vienna office administers a register of all flying objects that go into space.
