The Colares UFO Incident refers to the appearance of a series of sightings UFO that took place in 1977 in the Brazilian island of Colares , located at the mouth of the Amazon , in the state of Pará . During the sighting, which lasted for months, the inhabitants of the island were attacked by UFOs with rays of light and radiation, causing burn marks which healed within ten minutes of being produced, puncture wounds, blood and at least two deaths with more than 80 injured. When this happened, more than half of the region was evacuated.
The shock to the incident which led the inhabitants of the island, led the Brazilian Air Force sent a research team, under the eloquent name of " Operation Saucer "(in Portuguese: Prato). After months of investigation, was ordered abruptly stopping them and the photos, movies and documents were classified as top secret. The incident remains unexplained to this day.
