Maury Island incident

The 'Maury Island incident is a controversial case of observation of UFOs occurred in the U.S. three daysbefore the famous sighting by Kenneth Arnold. The opinion on the case is divided between those who thinks ahoax and a case of cover-up. If the survey was conducted by the USAF and the FBI. Based on the results of the investigation, Captain Edward J. Ruppelt revealed new information that could help shed light on the case.
First, it turned out that Dahl was not an officer of the Coast Guard as he said to Arnold, but the mere owner of abarge to transport the timber also had pieces of metal that were given simple metal aircraft, had acknowledgedthat Brown and Davidson, without saying anything to Arnold not to embarrass him. It was then ascertained that the plane carrying the two officers had not fallen for sabotage but accidental. Eventually Dahl admitted that the story was an invention and that there had been no sightings and no visit to the mysterious figures dressed in black.
Nevertheless, some continue to believe that the UFO sighting was true and that Dahl has recanted out of fear.
