The Blue book was now under
direct orders to debunk. . . I
remember the conversations
around the conference table
in which it was suggested
that Walt Disney or some
educational cartoon
producer be enlisted in [the]
debunking process.
Hynek suggested in 1972 in his book The UFO Experience, a division of UFO sightings in various stages. Hynek's reflections on this case based on the evaluations of Project Blue Book, in particular statistical reports of sightings. These stages were:
Nocturnal Light (NL, night light appearance): It will be seen at night, the observer strange lights appearing. To this kind were and are practically the most UFO sightings, which are also often referred to as errors (bright stars and planets, planes, weather phenomena, etc.) proved.
Daylight Discs (DD, daylight disc): The observer inspects one day be appearing, disc-shaped object similar to the classic "flying saucer".
Radar / Visual (RV, visual sighting and radar): The observed object is confirmed by a speed camera.
Close Encounter of the 1st Kind (CE-1, close encounters of the first kind): The object is viewed at close range (≤ 150 m).
Close Encounter of the 2nd Kind (CE-2, close encounters of the second kind): The object appears in physical interaction with the environment and leaves traces (landing marks, disruptions to electrical appliances, etc.).
Close Encounter of the 3rd Kind (CE-3, Close Encounters of the Third Kind): The observer sighted than the object and its occupants. These cases were seen in Bluebook least.
Later, several authors have added CE and CE-4-5 added, which meant the alien abduction and contact them.
