June 24th 1947 about 14 hours, Kenneth Arnold was heading to his plane of Cheheylisa in Yakima (WA). Along the way, Arnold got in mind for some time to search the wreckage of the missing aircraft, for which compensation was promised, near Mount Rainier Mount ( Cascade Mountains ).
Located at an altitude of 9200 feet , he saw a flash in the air from 9 subjects who were away at the distance of 20-25 miles , "I distinctly saw their outlines against the snow , when they approached the hill ... "
"They flew about 20-25 miles away and disappeared from sight. About three minutes , I watched as the chain-like plates of objects stretching at least 5 miles, maneuvered between high mountain peaks. They were flat as pans, and, like a mirror reflecting the sun's rays. I saw this quite clearly and distinctly " .
Near the object was moving transport aircraft DC-4 . After 15 minutes, Arnold flew to Yakima.
