The Mahabharata epic is certainly one of the most important scriptures of ancient India. It is somewhere between 400v. and 400n.Chr. developed and includes about 100,000 couplets. Mechanical, man-operated weapons, are known as shastra:
- For each weapon, there was a counter-weapon to neutralize the other
- Other weapons destroyed the targets, without causing damage to the environment
- Other weapons were more capable of looking at the goals themselves, using sound waves or temperature waves, or by steering thoughts.
Weapons that work on higher energy and power of thought or mantra can be put to use hot, Astra, with a destructive power that today's atomic-bomb neutrons or equivalent ..
Weapons were used only for defense against dark forces.
The scriptures like the Mahabharata describe such explosions, the "subsequent hair loss" cause, similar to today's radioactivity. The radioactivity of the time is confirmed by findings from thousand year old skeletons unearthed in the city of Mohenjo-Daro on the Indus.
