Kepler 20 - New planet discovered that can host life

They circle around the star 1000 light years away with the catalog number Kepler 20th He has an entire planetary system of at least five companions, the discoverer of writing in the British science magazine "Nature".While it is already known three gas giant planets around the star about the size of Neptune, the two newly discovered so-called exoplanets have only 0.87 - and 1.03 times the diameter of the earth. The previous smallest known exoplanet has at least 1.42 times larger in diameter than our home planet.

The masses of the newly discovered exoplanets, Kepler and Kepler 20e 20f are not yet known. The astronomers to keep Francois Fressin of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, however, it is possible that both have a similar composition as the Earth exhibit, with about a third of their mass in an iron core and two thirds in a silicate rock mantle.
